The Blues and Trust

Something is telling me to talk to the blues about trust. There’s this looming question that’s been ailing me, because I am a very untrusting human. And I don’t think trust is a skill the blues need.

When you’re a blue—when you’re in blue zone, in blue matter, in that state of being—I imagine trust isn’t an issue. Trust is too complicated. There’s just no need for it.

And that could be completely wrong. In fact, now that I’m saying it, it doesn’t sound like the correct thing coming out of my mouth. It seems as though trust is crucial in the blues.

Shit. Okay. Trust is crucial in the blues.

Your truest, bluest self

Trust is earned. It’s valuable. It isn’t just something you know, or say you know. In the way I picture the blues, it’s something you have to earn, too.

You’re trusted with taking care of yourself in earth phase. The better you take care of yourself, the more you trust yourself. And that shows. Other blues start to trust you, and then you start forming trusting relationships.

That’s how it all starts: with the way they trust themselves.

A blue gives all of themselves to themselves, creating their best possible self. That’s how I imagine trust being seen. The most conscious, most trusted self becomes the most sought-after blue friend. The most sought-after blue companion. The most sought-after blue quality, might I add.

If you’re the best at what you do as a blue, if you produce the best in your arena, I see that as a sign that you trust what you do enough to produce without flaws.

That’s an incredible skill I imagine the blues having. They’re like little factories, honestly. They can produce shit without flaws. That’s a lot of what they practice, and a lot of it stems from trust.

They have to trust that what they’re creating is what’s meant to be. Trust that they are the vessel. Their mind is clear. Their soul is clear. Their gut is clear. Their body is strong enough to be that vessel for the higher power, the higher consciousness, to come through and produce what’s needed.

A million evolutions

And maybe that’s how you create humanity. Or a humanity.

Humanity doesn’t even feel like a broad enough term. It feels slim. It’s shitty people.

No, that’s horrible.

What I’m trying to get at is evolution of a sort. Trust starts the evolution of what could potentially become life. In this picture I have of the blues, trust is huge. You wouldn’t survive without it.

First, you have to trust that you can keep up. That you can take what you see working for others and apply it to yourself, creating your truest, bluest self—for you and for your matter.

And the fact of the matter is facts. True facts. Facts are truths, and I think of truth as what keeps that evolution moving.

The evolution I imagine in the blue ether, shall we say, is a continual cycle. There could be a million evolutions in one day. Constant evolution. Constant trust falls. So much change, so much trust, all the time.

They don’t even have to wait long for the next trustworthy person. They come so quickly. They fall so fast.

Truth is what keeps that evolution going. That’s what being a blue brings me back to.

Back here, being human

And it’s funny, because as a human, I have the hardest time trusting. I know I’ve struggled with that because I didn’t trust myself.

I don’t trust people now. I do—but you see what I mean. I didn’t trust people because I didn’t trust me.

I didn’t even trust myself to drive somewhere. So how was someone else going to trust me to drive them? Where was the evolution in that relationship?

Everything comes back to trust. Trusting myself enough to let other people trust me. Trusting what I’m pursuing. Trusting that I’m doing what I believe is right.

As long as I’m evolving, doing the next right thing, I’m good.

But the second I quit evolving, I lose trust. And the second I lose trust, I quit producing.
