Working for Time

So I was just sitting here writing a text message, and something interesting came out of it.

Working for money is very hard for me because I feel like my time is priceless. I feel like I am priceless. So it’s hard to put an amount on what I do. That’s been a struggle for me, and I feel like that amount will be different for each project.

It led me to realize that I believe we’re meant to spend our time here on Earth working in a way that provides us more time, without taking away from our livelihood and ourselves.

I believe that working for time is more important than working for money.

We’re meant to work efficiently, yet slowly enough to do it properly. Slowly enough to actually process what we’re doing, remember how we did it, remember the outcome, and be able to do it again if need be.

And I think that creations are progressions. You can’t just do something really quickly, have a real fast progression, and think that you’re done. Things that are continually worked on are the best things. Nothing’s ever complete.

You always want to have room to grow. You always want to have space to grow. You want to keep on creating, and you want to let go of things you create to create more, you know. You want to share your creations to create more.

I also feel as though… yeah, I forgot now.

Oh yeah. We’re in a world where we are in a constant evolution of chase. I imagine that ever since humans started hunting, we’ve carried some fear of the chase in us. Sometimes life can honestly feel like it’s chasing you, like there’s no way you’re going to catch up to it and no way you’re going to get in front of it.

And that chase can leave you in fear, with a ton of anxiety.

So escaping the chase of life for a little while can be really helpful. Taking a vacation. Meditating. Being in your own home alone, or sitting in a car alone, listening to music. Just getting outside of your own mind for 30 minutes. Ten minutes. As much as you can do, whenever you can do it.

Just to find some serenity. To regain your control, regain your strength, regain your mindset. To regroup.

You know, everyday life is a challenge, and you’ve got to believe that you can start over at any time.

Do a sun salutation. Take a walk. Breathe. Meditate. Start over.

You can do it whenever, wherever, however you want. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath.

Yeah, I’m really nervous about whether I asked for too much money. I was going to ask for more. I don’t know. I’m just really not good at this pricing shit. It’s making me a nervous wreck.

I need to embrace my life right now, in this moment, and just woosah, you know.

Yeah. Just woosah.
