Come Hope or high healing

Everything that happens to you is preparing you for what’s coming next. You’re in constant preparation. The universe is constantly prepping you, so why not prep in a joyful manner?

Last year, when I got home and found out my dog had kidney disease, I was upset, and she was unhappy. She wasn’t feeling good. I needed to get her rebooted and revamped, and so we started with positive thinking.

Every time we went to the vet, no matter what happened or what news we were told—whether we were starting meds or whatever it was—we found something to be excited about. It was an adventure for us together. We could be strong together. It would bring us closer.

It was all positivity, no matter what news we heard. You could say it might be bad news, but that wasn’t how we heard it. We heard good news: we had the tools to prepare for what was coming next. Medicines, more vet visits, whatever it might be.

And you know what? It meant more time together. More time to prepare.

That was the beauty of it.

For a year now, we’ve been doing all this preparation for whatever comes next, and through it, we’ve remained positive.

The last time we were at the vet getting fluids, they took her blood. Her kidney levels had gone from 8 to 6, and her blood pressure had gone from 180 to 140. The vet said she had watched Casey become such a beautiful dog.

Mind you, she’s 12. She’s always been a beautiful dog. But her spirit is so high. It is next level. To me, that is pure positivity.

That’s what I keep coming back to when we’re in preparation: be positive. Be joyous. Be grateful. Be concerned, but don’t be overly concerned.

Be right where you are. Be in it. Let your baseline be high. Don’t settle for a low baseline.

Be excited. Be excited for this journey. It’s exciting. It’s a journey. What more could you ask for?

So, in your preparations, make room for joy. For us, it has made the journey better.

If we had stayed on the same path and hadn’t switched our vibe to positivity, who knows where Casey would be? Who knows whether her levels would have gotten higher or lower? I can’t know that. What I know is how we’re spending this time together.

All I know is positivity and preparation.
