The Blue Flow

All right, so the Blues. Are you a Blue?

The way I recognize Blues is through experience, through what I feel are notifications from spirit, and through the authenticity of people. When I talk about being Blue, this is the spiritual picture I’m describing.

If you’re Blue, you’re authentic. Universal. A liaison. Helpful.

You have an energy that cannot be broken, cannot be shaken. Always pure and never forsaken.

You’re a giving person. You give your time, your money, your energy. Everything in your body is about giving. In the way I understand that flow, the energy you put out comes back thirty times, fifty times, a million times more.

You’re never afraid to give your energy because you don’t feel like you’re giving it away. You’re receiving it, too. And you know that.

You’re aware of yourself. Respectful. You know there is always something greater than you. There is a plan. Everything is right on time.

A flow that whispers

Your flow is undeniable, but it just whispers. It’s soft. It’s an easy, easy flow.

You’re like water. You move between rocks, through crevices, upstream, downstream—all in a good, righteous flow that no one has to notice.

You just feel it.

And you can feel your flow so well that when you’re not flowing, it can aggravate your skin self. It can throw you off balance.

Balance is key: nutrition, energy, the way Blues support themselves and take care of themselves. A lot of self-care. Their health is their wealth.

Their inner peace is extremely sacred. They protect it, and they protect the inner peace of those they love—sometimes even by hiding things from them.

Blues can be sneaky. Very sneaky.

We can wiggle our way into and out of things by thinking. Often, we catch ourselves in the midst of it. Then we have a choice: go with the flow, or hold it up and do what we want.

We can try to act as our own God. Rule our own lives and the lives of others. As Blues, we sometimes think we know the exact right thing for everybody. How to fix everyone.

We’re metaphysical. I think of us as healers.

We don’t seek trouble. Drama is not for us. We don’t like it, but we can create it very easily. We can be very dramatic in a life situation.

Most of the time, we’re either in balance or fighting to find it. Either one can create the sense of self and introspection a Blue needs.

As long as a Blue feels their feelings and can look inward at them, there is something to learn. Without attaching every feeling to something tangible. Without holding on to everything here on earth.

That’s where I picture a Blue at their most stable: in detachment.

A very Buddhist Blue.

Home is in you

The circle of life feels real to a Blue. It’s something to experience and grow from.

We’re very much animal people. We connect with animals on a spiritual level. In my eyes, all animals are spirit animals.

And nature? For a Blue, nature is where it’s at.

Waves. Mountains. Trees. Earth. Ground. Leaves.

Anything in nature is what a Blue craves. Activities, business, children, partners—outdoors is where I picture Blues thriving, succeeding, and feeling at home.

A Blue has an innate ability to have a home in themselves. Wherever they go, they are home.

Their heart, their mind, their body. It all travels with them.

In my understanding, Blues recognize earth phase. We’re here on earth, but we’re also here in spirit. I believe our spirit has been here longer than our tangible body.

I feel we’ve been through this before. Seen things, felt things, known grief before. It still shocks our system, but there’s also a sense of recognition.

When I think about the circle of life, I think of the song from The Lion King. That movement through life is comforting to me. It’s what I picture a Blue believing in, even when they feel a little out of balance.

And out of balance is not where we like to stay.

Back to your roots

To find that balance again, I come back to grounding.

Go outside. Find a tree. Stand beside it with your feet on the earth. Close your eyes. Meditate with spirit, with your higher power.

Feel the tree’s sturdiness. Its roots, secure in the ground.

Imagine those roots moving through your feet, through your legs, through your body. Lift your arms to the sky. Reach like branches.

That’s the grounding I mean.

Back to your roots.

A lot of Blues can get caught up in emotions that don’t feel like their own. Some people talk about enmeshment or codependency. In my spiritual language, it can feel like telepathically picking up everyone else’s feelings without knowing where they’re coming from.

That feeling can affect your whole mood. It’s part of why balance and self-awareness matter so much to me.

What we take in

Then there’s the body. What we put in it. What feels good, and what feels like too much.

When I picture Blue nourishment, I think of seeds, berries, and vegetation. Simple things. Even prunes can feel like too much when I overdo them.

Crystals, powders, natural healing—those are images and ideas I associate with the Blues, too. They belong to my spiritual picture of care.

For me, this comes back to paying attention. How does something feel in my body? How does it affect the way I meet my outside environment?

What we take in matters to me. So does what we put out.

And so does the flow.
